NSFDC would like to welcome you and your son/daughter to a Football Development Programme organised by a Development Team who have numerous years of experience developing young players at Premier League Status Academies. Without doubt this can be a daunting experience for some young players however it is important that each player understands that their progression in football will be at their pace and we are there to help and encourage them to achieve this.

As a qualified FA/FAW/UEFA Licensed Coach, FA Tutor and FA Coaches Association (FACA) recognised licensed coach & member of the Southampton FC Academy Coaching Staff, we have long since agreed to adhere to a Code of Conduct for Coaches, provides what you the parent and the players can expect of us and by also providing a Players Code of Conduct in return what is expected of the players during each session officially meets with The Football Association and safety, guidelines. 

NSFDC take this opportunity to advise you that we are providing a structured coaching course to help young players understand the game of football and the techniques that are associated with football. What NSFDC are not offering is a general kick-about that provides young players very little in terms of understanding the game of football or even their personal & physical development.

NSFDC are not looking to produce the next David Beckham or Wayne Rooney. The main aim of each player being made welcome at the Development Centre they attend and receive encouragement to improve their skills and enjoy playing football. There are stepping stones in place to meet the ever changing needs of young players and the NSFDC Development Team will be happy to advise, encourage and are well placed to help young players to take these next steps when ready to do so. For some this next step has been to a Professional Football Club Academy / Centre of Excellence.

NSFDC firmly believe that young players reach their full potential when they are allowed to express themselves and play without fear. However, We can only help those who want to be helped and accept what is being provided will not meet with everyone’s needs or point of view. The objectives are made clear, are they what you are looking for? More importantly, do they meet your child’s needs?
